By far the best people I have ever had take photos for us. My dogs looked wonderful! They did better than professionals who mainly take dog pictures! They were absolutely perfect, and cheap! I got my pictures with in 4 days in the mail! I was also sent treats in the mail for my dog and a thank you card. Thank me? THANK YOU!!! Plus, they were very, very nice. I will come back!

Scripture and Recipe

We would like to share a Scripture and a good recipe:

1 John 4:16 "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him."

Everyone will have fun putting these cookies together – unless of course the kids eat all the middles first!!

Yield: about 4 dozen cookies

Cookie Dough:
2 (18-1/4 ounce) packages Devil’s Food cake mix
4 eggs
2/3 cup canola oil

Filling:
1 (8-ounce) package tofutti cream cheese
½ cup (1 stick) margarine, softened
3-1/2 cups powdered sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Food coloring of your choice (optional but definitely fun for the kids)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together cake mixes, eggs and oil. Roll into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly and bake for 8 – 10 minutes. Let rest for 2 minutes; then remove to wire rack to cool.

To prepare filling, beat together tofutti cream cheese and margarine. On low speed, add sugar and vanilla. Add food coloring, if desired. Filling can be divided up and different colors can be added to different bowls – now that’s fun!!

Spread filling on bottom half of cookies. Top with remaining cookies.

OK.. I consider myself a patience person.. but with all these "Big Corporate" ppl ruining so many lives and making so many other lives more of a head ache then it needs to already BE!!! I will NO LONGER BANK MY MONEY at banks! Especially TCF, they are well that commercial, "does a stranger take more then your bank?" OMG.. enough said! Banks SUCK!!! Use cash or go to a credit union! :)

We have discovered this little product some time ago, its really neat and cool. My hubby use to smoke 4 packs a day! WOW what a habit! But, we traded that habit for a healthier one! And its cheaper! Plus I don't have to deal with crabby withdraws and that awful taste (kissing an ashtray) and that smell is gone. Plus he don't have to go outside to smoke and freeze is butt off! Have you ever just looked at a tree? I mean really look! If you haven't stopped your crazy spiraling life for just one moment, laid down next to a tree and just looked up? Gazing at her beautiful leaves, now turning amazing colors. But watch her sway with the wind, holding her branches out so proudly, no self esteem issues, she can be fat and amazing, fanned out showing off her beauty. But when you look at her closer and look at her branches and think, why is shaped like the way she is? We believe in God and we feel he is funny and has a very funny sense of humor!
I use to be involved in nursing for a while. And know the anatomy pretty well, the function of our organs and what they look like. Well, for example, I'm sure some of you may have read this chain email, but it was rather cute, it was talking about you are what you eat. For example, if you really look at your foods that you eat. Not the processed fast food some of us are accustomed to eating. But foods in there raw form. Look at a tomato, it's red, as big as your heart (depending the tomato and the kind and well you!) it has 4 chambers and guess what organ in our body that is red, roughly as big as our fist, and has 4 chambers? Yup, our heart! Not convinced? Look at the walnut, really look at it! It has a hard shell, when you crack it open, it has 4 parts which the upper two parts of the nut looks squiggly and light brown, its high in fat and good cholesterol and omega's Everything our brain needs! Not convinced or convinced that God has a sense of humor and made most things dummy proof? LOL I have added pictures. its pretty interesting!
What does all of this have to do with tree's? Tree's when you look at them from the ground up they look like the inside of our lungs. The inside of our lungs, has trunk, branches, limbs and leaves. Also called the Trachea (trunk) bronchial tubes (branches) Bronchioles (limbs) Alveoli (leaves), so just like our lungs and the trees they have similar body. And just like our lungs the tree's breathe, but what do they breathe? Carbon Dioxide and exhales oxygen. And we breath oxygen and exhale cardon dioxide. What a perfect balance! But.. there's an upset in this balance. Did you know that making paper from tree's is not a great idea. Did you ever and stop to think, is there a better way to make paper, then using tree's. Sometimes we don't think about the product we use has such a huge impact on the environment. So we at Freestyle Expressions is fading out the use of regular paper that produced from trees. The very tree's that provide oxygen, shade and shelter. Why harm or even use our trees for something that has more value to our very lives then using paper we just throw away! So we are fazing out tree paper products to hemp products. Hemp only takes 3 months to grow to maturity verses tree's that take years, less impact in the earth and makes paper! You can make paper out of bananas and sugar, all mature a lot less time then it takes for trees! We need our trees!

I hope that you will make the change as well. The more people who do this, the less need for tree product paper. You can find hemp, sugar and banana paper online, its worth the extra $ to save our tree's.
I have attached the links, tell congress to make hemp legally grown in the USA, its not weed, you can't get high off of the plant. That's the cousin. But you can save lives, and when it's legal in this country, you can help farmers! And help the economy. It's a win win!

Our new site is up!

It was time to update our website. Our old website did us good, but it was time for a new look, with a new style that matches us now! We have a new look, new website, new photographer, new beginnings and tons of fun ahead of us!
We have updated our prices, but are still very affordable!
We been really busy with weddings, our kids attending school, vacations up ahead! Fall is def in the air...we love it! I love to see all the leaves change, its def my fave time of year, even though I am not crazy about Winter being around the corner!

Sorry for no blog, we been really busy! Busy with weddings, family life on the farm, and getting ready for portrait sessions on our hobby farm. We have a "special" area just for Autumn portraits, this is my thinking why spends $$ at Target or Walmart for a "Fake Autumn background" when you can pay the same or less for a "REAL Autumn Background!" We have a beautiful pumpkin patch, hale bails, corn, and a scarecrow, we also live on a farm with tons of trees and LEAVES! LOL We are currently working on our greenhouse made entirely out of old windows, that's recycle baby! We will be painting beautiful flowers, and next yr, we will have beautiful pants and end of the summer, have butterflies in our greenhouse for pictures (limited time only view website for details) very exciting! So between that and the wedding we been real busy. We are so grateful to have been given a chance to take pictures for my clients for blessed memories. I hope everyone is happy with what we provided with them!
Also, so we were thinking about how photography.. well let me back up. A photography trend, that honestly as a photographer it can get real boring! I am always willing and exciting to explore out of the normal boundaries of photography and photo shop. Still holding onto our fave "classics" but breaking through with a more edgy style using photo shop! There's a lot of really cool things you can do with your portraits. We want our pictures not only make you smile, but make you go "wow that's really cool! Or when we do it, we are like that's freaking awesome!"
Anyway..saving the BEST for the last! We are giving you a "new us"! We our currently revamping our website, with new images, new packages, and a 3rd photographer! The new fresh website will be out on October 6th 2011, so look out for that! And for our revamping our website.. we would like to offer a special thanks to all our past clients, you get in your email! So look out for your spam box too! Its a great offer!

We haven't blogged in a while, been so busy with the hobby farm and wedding season! Just thought to update you on what we been doing! WE personally thank all of our clients and we enjoyed working with you and the ones we will work with here in the coming months!

HOW TO SAVE $$$$$$$$ THESE DAYS!

Trying to figure out to expand that dollar these days? We'll take it from me, I been a single mom for most of my kids lives on a very fixed tight budget! So I learned a trick or two on how to stretch our dollar. Having 2 boys that can eat you out of house and home, and my boys that out grow the shoes and clothes the moment you buy them. So I am will pass some of my secrets onto you!

1) Goodwill or thrift stores. I'm amazed how cheap you can get "named brand clothes, shoes and purses up to 75% off what retail stores charge. And really, you can still be fashionable with out following every silly new trend out there. Be different and creative with your styles. Besides these huge companies change the style all the time just to make you "feel better about yourself", but will it?
2)Take your kids clothes or your clothes that you are tired of, and either sell them on Craigslist, ebay, consignment shops and/ or garage sales. Great way to earn cash towards whatever. Plus it helps the Earth.
3)Shop around, don't be impulse buyer! Look for deals on the net. And think about it for a while. Think do I really need and or really want this item, will it help improve my life?
4)Dollar Tree, gotta love that store! Great for cards, gifts, misc household cleaners etc.
5)Aldi grocery store, they have great food and way cheap, just don't forget your bags and a quarter!
6)NEVER and I repeat NEVER take your husband and kids to the grocery store! LOL
7)Craigslist is a great place for free stuff, cheap stuff and great deals on services!
8)Car pool or train and or bus, great deals especially at $4 a gal, holy cow and they are talking $7 a gal by next year! Maybe we should just give up are vehicles and ride bikes, scooters and horses! :)
9)Vacations: They have great websites for travel locations, greyhound, if you buy 2 weeks or earlier you get a better deal. Local attractions, camping etc is a great way to have your vacations with out breaking the bank!
10)Barter services or things!
11)Cut out cable, how much TV do you really watch? You can rent the same movies and shows on Netflix, $20 a month! Rent your games too, instead of buying them. Gamefly is cheaper then buying games. Also, got games just sitting around take them to gamestop, sell or trade them!
12) Pawnshops, great place to sell or buy stuff!
13) Fun things to do with out costing a lot of money or no money. Como Zoo, parks, picnics, lakes, fishing, hiking, BBQ's, great way to spend time with the family with out costing a lot of money!
14)How much is your cell phone costing you? $100, $200 a month?!! Good grief, the best cell phone company is Virgin Mobile, I paid $90 for my cell, I pay $25 a month for unlimited text and picture, 300 any time mins. They are many cheap prepaid cell phones, cheaper and easy to use and they have some really nice phones! And if you can't afford 1 month, no problem, you wont get those nasty bills in the mail and them cutting off your service!

FIRE!!! On our way back from our Wedding...

So, on our way back from our Sioux Falls, SD the next day. We are on the hwy on our way back to Minnesota. We see this huge black smoke next to the hwy. We passed it and decided to head back, so I exited the hwy, headed towards the smoke! We spotted this business blazing!! I parked, we jumped out of the truck and ran towards the fire with our camera's! We were there before the NEWS was there! Taking some awesome pictures! So we like to share what we took, they were amazing. Makes me miss the days when I was a Vol. Fire Fighter.. fun and exciting times. Remember our hero's....when we are running away of the fire and danger... our Firefighters and Police are running towards it!

It's a new year and its time to get healthy! Right?

Better Mood Enhancement than chocolate, alcohol or music!

I was going through my "Prevention" mag, and I came across an article dealing with family pictures. I read further and was very surprised. So I thought I would share on my blog today another reason why pictures are so important:

So after reading this article I thought to myself, wow capturing memories are so important that they are vital to our health. These days, with all of us under so much stress, we need all the mood boost we can get. That's where I come in, being a photographer, capturing your mood enhancement memories, are very important to me. I love to look at my past pictures. Especially my children. They grow so fast, my oldest 14, wow where did that time go? So looking back at my children's pictures especially when they were cute babies, always lifts my mood!

I think its a great time to think about hiring a photographer, don't you? Either for your family pictures, children, engagements, weddings, and why not something a lil' different, allow me to capture your most precious moments, the sky is the limit when it comes to photography!
